Cocktails at the Castle – A Different Way of Seeing at American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis

American Swedish Institute’s fall “Cocktails at the Castle: A Different Way of Seeing” is full of non-stop art, immersive music and exploration offering a fresh perspective inspired by ASI’s new exhibition and guest curated by Tricia Heuring from Public Functionary.

Exciting diversions are plentiful: the site-specific iNMiGRATiON performance experience with the all-star improvisational music collective sans le systeme, spontaneous poetry, video and the Free Range Orchestra & Choir, grooving music by ZULUZULUU, art installations by Jennifer Davis, pop-up performances by D a N C E B U M S, 360° virtual reality experiences by Visual, a dance party with DJ Sarah White Music and the exhibition highlighting Swedish artwork, from landscapes to contemporary portraits, that portrays a distinctly Swedish sensibility. And, of course, delicious craft cocktails and food by FIKA.

A VIP pre-VIEW: For this pre-party adventure. VIP guests ride on vintage 1950s buses provided by Minnesota Transportation Museum to cocktail stops at the Prohibition Bar- W Minneapolis- The Foshay and Guthrie Theater. Buses leave at 5 p.m. and return by 7 p.m. to the ASI for event start.
