Hey Lovelites,
I’m back again with another #TBT post. My last #tbt post featuring Mya was well received so I decided to do it again. This time about another good singer-songwriter, that I enjoyed and who flourished in the early 2000’s, Paula DeAnda. For those who don’t remember or don’t know who Ms. DeAnda is, here is a lite summary for you: Paula is a singer-songwriter who hails from Texas, she came onto the music scene in the early 2000’s. Some of her popular songs include: ‘Doing Too Much’ and
Yes! ‘Walk Away’ (Remember Me ft The DEY). She made music and toured with Baby Bash, Bow Wow, and Frankie J, just to name a few. Her self-titled debut album, Paula DeAnda was released in 2006 and it consisted of songs such as: Doing Too Much, Walk Way, When It Was Me, and Easy Ft. Bow Bow (a.k.a Shad Moss). Since then Paula has continued to pursue a career in music; she auditioned for Season 6 of NBC’s singing competition ‘The Voice’, but didn’t make it as far as she intended. Despite the career setbacks, Paula is still actively making music and writing songs. She is currently trying to fund her next project using kickstarter, which hopefully means her new project will be in the works soon. I used to listen to her songs: ‘Walk Away’ and ‘When It Was Me’ on repeat, you couldn’t tell me that Paula wasn’t popping back then. I do think she is a good singer and there was some solid songwriting done on her debut album. I hope she is able to fund her next project and I look forward to hearing it. Until then, Check out the new songs she released recently below. Let me what you think of Paula DeAnda and her music. Do you have any favorites? Tweet me @thelitestyle.
