If you are 90’s baby then this was your jam once upon a time or maybe still is? No judgements. It’s a classic. I’m the old soul within my group of friends; meaning I’m the one that still appreciates music from artists like Mya. I think she has a phenomenal voice; In my opinion she has done a great job staying true to her unique sound and keeping up with music nowadays. Yes, Mya is still making beautiful music in 2014; she has two put out two full length projects this year already. The 1st one is With Love, Mya which was released on Valentines Day this year and Sweet XVI was released shortly after in April to mark the anniversary to mark the release of her self-titled album sixteen years ago. It’s safe to day that Mya is a veteran in the game and whether she is acknowledged or not, she has consistently put out good music. Go listen to her recent projects and thank me later.
