Ed Sheeran – x Tour ( Minneapolis, Target Center)

Hey Lovelites,

I was privileged to go to the Ed Sheeran Concert this past Monday 9/15 and I was so happy that I did. I almost didn’t because I was out of town the weekend before the concert and I was exhausted. But again, I’m glad I did. First of all, I had floor tickets; so I was right by the stage, which definitely added to my experience. I don’t think I’ll be attending anymore concerts if I don’t have floor tickets because I have had a taste of the good life and I don’t want to go back. 😉 Second, if you haven’t experienced a concert at the Target Center in Minneapolis, you haven’t LIVED. I have been fortunate to attend a few concerts there i.e Drake, Kings of Leon and now Ed Sheeran.  The sound system and management in that place is impeccable and top of the line! It is crisp, clear, and top notch. This added to the experience because the sound during a concert is the MOST important aspect of the show. I am a concert connoisseur and I can firmly say that I have contemplated leaving a few concerts because the sound was horrible. But because I love and support the artist that I go see in concert, I bare it and stay till the end. Applaud the good people at the Target Center!

Back to the concert, The UK Group Rudimental opened up the show and got the crowd mad hype for Ed! I really like them and to be honest I never really listened to them before I experienced them live and since then I have been listening to them and I really like them. I will be writing a #spotlite post on them in the near future. They performed some of their popular songs like: Feel the Love and Not Giving In (both Ft. John Newman), Free ft Emelie Sandé, Waiting All Night Ft. Ella Eyre, and Home. They had a great stage presence and kept the crowd engaged, which tends to be hard for people who open for big acts. Rudimental did a great job.

ED ED ED ED!  Ed hit the stage with only two mics, and his guitar, which he switched off after almost every song. I thought that was cool. But yes Ed! Didn’t do extra like your faves do. It was just him and us; it made the concert more intimate. He played a lot of songs from his new album x, his previous album + and some covers as well. There are some songs he performed: I’m a Mess, Lego House, Don’t / No Diggity (mash-up), Drunk, Take It Back, One, Bloodstream, Tenerife Sea, Runaway / Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), Afire Love, Thinking Out Loud, Give Me Love, I See Fire and more. In between his performance, he talked to the crowd. He talked about how he performed three years ago and it was a small show and how it was a humbling feeling to be playing such a big venue now. The Target Center was packed too. He was very just down to earth, simple, straightforward and human. I really appreciated that. All in all it was a great show; He sang, rapped (arguably better than your fave), played his guitar wickedly, made a lot of his melodies on stages compared to having back-up singers and just showed how multi-talented he truly is.  Do yourself a favor and check him out on this x tour if you can, I promise you that it will be an experience you never forget.
